Home and School Association (HSA)
The purpose of the Home and School Association (HSA) is to:
• promote community spirit
• foster an appreciation of our mission to all families
• provide a resource of communication for families and school staff
• assist the school to meet annual budget objectives
• influence public opinion through the Connecticut Federation of Catholic School Parents
• promote events within the school that are either informative or rewarding
The organization welcomes ideas and concerns from the school parents. It oversees many fundraising endeavors. Each May, the Executive Committee is elected by parents.
For the 2015-2016 school year, the HSA President is Martha Puffer, parent.

Activity Fee/Fundraising Opportunities
A per-family activity fee is added to the tuition amount. Several fundraising opportunities exist to earn this amount (and more) back throughout the year. Refer to this program description for more information.
New Student Referral Program
The New Student Referral Program recognizes and rewards efforts to strengthen our school community by referring new students to our school. Detailed terms of this program can be found here.
The purpose of the School Board is to be advisory to the Pastor and Principal. In this capacity, the school board is responsible to incorporate the parish mission into the mission and philosophy of the school. This focus drives all decisions and the strategic plan. Some responsibilities of the Board include:
• policy development
• annual budgeting
• promoting the advancement program
• overseeing mission review
• long range planning
At least one-third of the Board is parents; half of the Board is parishioners. The Board seeks to foster communications with parents and the parish.
The school board has four committees which play an active role in the school community. Those committees are: advancement, finance, strategic planning and nominating committees.

Saint Bridget School is always looking for parents interested in helping out in the office, during lunch or recess duty, making copies of handouts, students worksheets etc. We always welcome your valuable time and talents.
